Instructions:
This version of the Online Status Indicator allows you to display the status of any avatar in Secondlife.
As shipped, it comes in a box you simply need to touch. This will transfer the contents of the box to your inventory.
Dragging the Online Status Indicator Multi itself out to the world will rez it.
The first step is for the owner to touch the box. This will present a menu to enter the name of the person that will be using it - you must be close enough for the box to hear the message - 20 meters for normal chat, 100 meters for shouts. There is about a 20 second window for the name to be said.
After saying the name their profile picture will be downloaded from secondlife.com and it will begin monitoring their online status.
Touching it and selecting "Clear" will clear the indicator, to await another user. This is not necessary to do between users, though.
Selecting "Get Note" on the owner's menu will hand out the notecard the user has stored in it.

The user assigned to the board may touch it and get a different menu - this menu gives the option of clicking "GO" to allow the user to add their notecard to the board - they will have to hold the control button, and they have about 20 seconds to do so. The card must be copy/transfer, but does not have to have modify rights. Please note - sometimes the asset servers are overloaded, and it may take a try or two before SecondLife will give you the arrow, instead of the No sign, to put the card in.
Clicking "Get Note" will confirm that the notecard given out is the one you want to send - a new notecard may be added and the old one will be purged.
The IM Click button sets it so that the user recieves an Instant Message when the board is clicked, reporting where the board is.
